    What is an AC75?
Innovation is at the core of Emirates Team New Zealand’s campaign, extending far beyond the sails and foils. Introduced for the 36th America’s Cup, the AC75 revolutionised yacht design and remains the pinnacle of high-performance sailing. Taihoro, Emirates Team New Zealand’s latest-generation AC75, demonstrated its speed, stability, and versatility during the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona, helping secure the team’s third consecutive Cup victory. Looking ahead to Naples 2027, the evolution continues under the latest AC75 Class Rule, with Emirates Team New Zealand already back on the water in Auckland, becoming the first team to recommission and sail the updated AC75 as preparations intensify for the defence of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup.

    What is an AC40?
The AC40 is the smaller, one-design sibling of the AC75. A high-performance foiling monohull built for speed, agility, and precision. The design and development of the AC40 also comes from the design studio of Emirates Team New Zealand, and it soon gained the title of "Boat of the Year" in 2023.

Designed as both a training platform and a gateway for emerging talent, the AC40 allows sailors to hone their skills and teamwork in a more dynamic, hands-on environment. Used in the Youth and Women's America's Cup as well as training for senior crews, it plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of elite sailors.

    WIND-POWERED LAND SPEED RECORD

After winning the 36th America’s Cup in 2021, Emirates Team New Zealand turned its attention to a sidequest: the world wind-powered land speed record. The childhood dream of Glenn Ashby, coupled with the expertise of Emirates Team New Zealand and the support of Grant Dalton and Matteo de Nora, came together to launch a bold new project. Within weeks, a core team was assembled and the race to design, engineer and build a record-breaking machine was on.

    HYDROGEN BOATS

At Emirates Team New Zealand, innovation doesn’t stop at the foils, nor sails for that matter. As the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona got underway, spectators witnessed that all competing teams were supported by foiling chase boats. What sets these apart from ordinary motorboats was their power source: hydrogen.
