SIMON VAN VELTHOOVEN

During the testing phase of the 35th America’s Cup, Simon was asked to test out the early editions of the cycling system. He ended up, what he calls, "just hanging around" – adding value where he could, helping them train for the event. Eventually, Simon took on the first Cyclor position and joined the team for the America's Cup in Bermuda. He enjoyed the racing and the team so much that he wanted to try out for the Defence of the America's Cup again and started to train as a grinder. Simon is back for his 3rd campaign, this time as a Cyclor.
